Hi, me and a couple friends have been getting together lately and playing. We've got a Tascam DR-07 MKII for recording and I was trying to think of a way for all of us to listen to a playback of what we've just recorded right away after recording. The DR-07 has a built in speaker but it isn't loud enough, and it has a headphone out but three people listening to one pair of headphones doesn't work out too well. I was wondering if it would be possible to use a cable to go from the 3.5mm headphone out to a 1/4" guitar amp so we can just unplug a guitar and have a quick listen to see if it sounds right.

I've found this: Amazon.com: Hosa CMP103 Stereo Mono Interconnect 3.5mm TRS to 1/4 In TS 3Ft: Musical Instruments and it looks like it would work but I have no experience with these things as I'm the drummer. So I guess my question is somewhat simple...will it work or not?

That stereo-mono will work fine. Keep in mind the guitar amp is not a full range device. It is meant for mid range reproduction and your recordings will sound very poor through it.
Otherwise, yes.

Much respect and blessings!
