Popping noises from Fast Track Ultra?

Im using a fast track ultra into cubase 4. From the device, there are loud sporadic popping noises that are showing up in the audio i record. They are also visible when checking levels and such. I dont know if its a driver issue or if the device is just crazy. Any suggestions to get rid of it?

Try increasing the sample rate. Do you have any other PCI cards installed. I had major issues with a wireless network card.

Tried the sample rate changes Still the same I guess it might just be the crappy FTU. I use windows xp by the way
