Hey Teddie,
Okay, Pooh Spew is back up on my site.
Before you listen, here is a little history on the track:
Needing a break from a serious recording session, my best friend/bassist/co-writer suggested we try something we hadn't in years. When we were yunguns, for fun, I would play background music while he read some of my poetry, totally cold with no rehearsal. Needless to say, we have some really funny tapes from back then. Anyway, he suggested we do it again during this particular recording session. I told him I had no poems on hand and he said "That's cool, we'll improv. Give me a topic"
I don't remember if I had read the story or somebody told me about it - some guy who was pretty damn normal otherwise, would have the urge, or the NEED to masturbate whenever he saw or heard Winnie the Pooh. So I replied to him "Your topic is jacking off to Winnie the Pooh" and without a word, he turned to the mic, I rolled tape, started a simple looped beat on the drum machine, and picked up my guitar. He did the rest off the top of his head.
