What speakers/monitors/amp do you'all run your pods through?

How do you like the sound?

How do you think it would compare to a low end line6 amp (spyder)?

1) Studio use only... gear list is at my studio's website!

2) Clients love it... but I use it only for "color" - it's another tool in the toolbox. I've never gotten a clean sound out of it that I like... I find it works much better for a wide variety of dirty tones. I personally also find it better for use on solos than for rhythm parts.
It can't touch the sound of a properly mic'd amp.

3)No idea - I haven't heard the Spyder...

I keep the pod right in line to my mixer, most of the time, this way I can power up and play with little or no fuss. Occasionally I will run it thru a little Crate or a Marshall 100w. Dirty tones are best for sure, I think I have the setting soldered in place. The one before Rectified, I think it is High Gain, with echo and compression - drive at about halfway.

I've got my POD sitting next to a Tascam 414 (yeah, I actually use it as a mixer - $$$ are tight). But usually I'll go straight into the soundcard - only use the Tascam if I want to record a stereo track in which case I'll run two (L & R) lines from POD to Tascam. Sometimes I'll run the left from the POD into the clean channel of a little Peavey Rage and then mike it with an SM57. All in the name of convenience. I generally avoid running the POD through my JCM800 - something akin to a poodle pushing its luck around a bulldog. Or putting a bumper sticker on a Porsche.
