Hello everyone

I recently bought a pocketstudio 5 and started messing around with it today.

I finally put together something that I thought was decent enough to put into MP3, and when I went to use the mp3 mixdown option, it said "ERR MP3 FILE"

It also makes an error : "ERR PATTERN FILE" or something of that nature when I was messing around with patterns.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here, or if something is wrong with the unit?

Thanks!

It's kinda hard to tell, but...

you may have some corruption on the CF card.

You may want to go into USB mode & offload all your "work" files to the 'puter. Then format the CF card and reload the "ptn.001" as well as your music file from your 'puter,... and try it again.;)

Also check the PS5UG (PS5 User's Group) for more specific information, and the webmaster is super-super knowledgable about e'thing P5.

thank you very much

I figured it was either a memory or a firmware issue, but this is my first time dabbling with this stuff. I figured I may as well ask people who know!

Thanks again!

Mike at the PS5UG website is really the guru of all gurus on the P5.

It's a small board, with about a dozen members, heh,... so if you post your question, you'll get an almost immediate response,... and mcarp555 really knows his stuff on the P5!

(Google search: PS5UG).

;)
