hey guyx ..I Have been singing on semi acoustic guitar for 1 year!.and also recorded some songs using my HP Laptop built-in mic nd Logitech usb mic!!but Now i wanted something better for practice and recording too! plx guide me what should i buy for it..I men which mic???and mixer or what??amp?? I Don't knw anything..plx tell me something economical .. I have Almost budget of US 180$..As i m from Pakistan..i estimated this amount by converting pakistani currency into US!! plx help!!thx in advance!!:)
 
What are you calling a "semi-acoustic guitar" - an electric hollow body guitar or an acoustic guitar with a pickup?

Do you have an amplifier if it's the former?
 
Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, you are not going to get much for $180. I suggest you start by reading the the two threads at the start of this section of the forum (newbies/basics).

You need: 1) Audio interface
2) Decent mic (non-USB)

Can you get a starter-type 1 of each for a total of $180? Yes, in the US, by shopping Ebay and craigslist. In Pakistan, probably not.
 
dude plx tell me more about audio interface???nd model anf price ranges of mic and audio interface???
 
IN other words A hollow or acoustic guitar that can also atach to amplifier via cable..both options.......Nd i want to record my acoustic version of song....and i have not any amplifier!!

1 more important thing is that i can also buy used equipment in pakistan!!in very good condition!! so plx help
 
In terms of cheap mics for guitar, you should have a look at these cheap condenser mics which are fairly versatile too, especially if you ask for some omni capsules too (see the link)
In terms of interfaces, you are looking right at the bottom of the range basically for that money. a Lexicon Alpha is probably the cheapest interface worth buying.
