ok this is very hard to word so here i go
i use cool edit pro and a zenix 4 channel mixer i have my guitar tracks recorded and mixed when i plug a cord into the AUX return to hear them while im recording and putting drums over them the program picks up the guitars and records it in that same track with the drums and it becomes wet sounding andwith to much reverb how do i fix this so i can hear my guitar tracks and can record my drums on another track

It's been years since I recorded with cool edit, and I don't know if you're using Windows XP or some earlier version, but if memory serves, you need to DISABLE "record what you hear" in your windows sound mixer....I'd be able to test it, but I can't even find that option in Vista.

That may be the answer...or not.
