Ok.. So I have a Behringer UB-2222FXPRO (sorry starting out! :D) mixer.

Im going to the states this april and planning to buy a Delta1010LT.. and I noticed there are 6 Line In RCA Jacks and 2 XLR Mic/Line In Jacks.

Im planning to use my mixer's inserts as Direct outs (1 click method)

So Channels 1-6 on the mixer. Direct out to the 6 Line in Jacks of the Delta 1010LT. Using 1/4" to RCA Cables right ?

Then Channels 7-8 on my mixer. Direct out to the 2 Line in XLR Inputs of the Delta1010LT. Using 1/4" to XLR Cables right?

Then.. I have 4 more stereo channels on my mixer. So I Route my Soundcard's outs back to my mixer using 2 Rca Jacks to 1/4" Stereo plug ?

Then I attach my Monitors to the Main Outs of my Mixer right ?

so far so good? With that setup what will happen? Whats the use of putting all my Outs in the stereo channel ?

You can run the outs of the soundcard into any combination of ins on the board and still leave most of your cables where they are, with the exception of whichever channel you are using a 1/4 input on the board to input a signal to the card.

Example1 - I'm using the 1222FX and a delta 410. I only use the first two channel inserts to route the signal to the card, but my outs from the card on on channels 1-4 and 5/6 7/8(stereo) and 9/10 11/12 (mono) Which works out good because my drum loop tracks are on the two stereo channel ins panned left and right so I only use one in put on each of the channels. I leave everything plugged in, unless I'm doing a guitar, bass or electronic drum part that is direct input, then I unplug channel 1 and 2 from the card to the board and use 1 and 2 to route the signal to the card. If all of that makes sense.

If you are micing everything then you can leave everything plugged in on all of the channels and route the playback through the channels that you aren't recording on, then for mixing all you need to do is select the outputs to utilize the entire board.

Example2 -
all 8 direct outs to the ins on the sound card
If 9/10 11/12 13/14 and 15/16 on the board have a mono in, you can run a single rca - 1/4 to the mono input, if not the stereo rca to 2 1/4 should work fine. then the other four outs from the card to 5-8 leaving 1-4 open to recording setup at all times, then if you need more, you can just route the playback signals to outputs 5-8 on the card or whichever combination works. Just make sure if you are using all XLR ins and recording on all 8 tracks that none of the playback is coming through 1-4outs on the card. If you are using direct in via 1/4s then all you'd have to do is unplug the outs from the soundcard from the board and plug in there, then when you are done, plug the out from the card back in where it was.

As far as monitors, it depends on what else you are planning to do. What are you going to mix down to?

My intended routing chain is card > board > effects processor > BBE > EQ > CDR Recorder > Amp > Monitor. Whether anyone will agree with that is another story, but I'm not too worried, it provides me with the sound I'm looking for, Each track is EQ'd and effects are added in cakewalk, I just add a touch of reverb or whatever and EQ the entire mix to even the whole track out, but I'm always open to suggestions.

Hope that makes sense, I tend to ramble and what-not.

I really dont have any Outboard gear. Except for the Mixer and Soundcard probably. I do all my effects in the computer.

So is it better to just connect the Monitors directly to the Output of my Delta1010LT ?

Yeah, if you aren't using any outboard gear, or mixing down to a minidisc, CD, DAT, Tape deck, whatever, I see no reason to take it to the board at all.
