The guitars are nice and vox are nice and clear man, I like the way they sound out of tune but they arent.. The drums seem too far back in the mix. I could hear this tune all over the radio... Bunch of little kids on skateboards jumping around singing.

Good recording and a good song.

Very decent poster-pop-punk genre nailer!

The drums sound a bit scooped in the low mids.

The guitars need a bit of mid body.

The writing and performance are solid and tight, good job!

Good Tune

Sounds like Green Day to me. Mix sounds good to me. Something about the vocals sounds bassy or soething. I can't put my finger on it though. This is really good though. the harmonies are excellent.

I don't get the Green Day vibe, but I do think it is a pretty good job and a pretty good song. My only complaint is that the crash cymbals could come through a bit more and the drums sound canned.

The drum part could help the energy of the song as a whole if you beefed it up a bit. You have the guitars layered very nicely. Good job.

gtrs are too loud. vocals need to come up..and some mastering wizardry...and you'd be pretty close. Now...think 2003. I sure as shit don't have a clue how...but....

nice tune

Really great vibe,I dig the way you did the rythym guitars.
How did you record them,doubled?
Are they DI'd or miked?
Nice tight playing.

Everything sounds real good except the drums.
Bringing them up some might help, there just lacking any beef.
Could use some changes in there too.

Cool tune,
Pete

hey.

The guitars are doubled and recorded direct with a
hughes & kettner cabnetulator coming through my
peavy supreme 4/12.
I don't have alot of controll over the drums since im
using a drum machine. I find that if I put it to loud the
cymbals/hi-hat sound hissy(annoying) to me so I
prefer to keep them a little low in the mix.

thanx for listning I really appretiate it guys.

Can you bring the drums up, and then use eq to just knock the "hissy" part back down?

Cool feel. Kind of sounds like a theme song to a real hip TV sitcom. Liked the rapid fire guitar strumming. Cool chord progression. The intro was a little long though.

Cool sounding guitars but they are covering up the vocals up a bit. I'd say turn them down and turn up the vocals. Might not need any EQing. I liked the harmonies.

hey.

I rolled off as much highs as I could with out making the
snare sound shitty, it would be nice if I could have
each drum on its own track but my recorder only has two
imputs, that sucks!

pretty good song. sounds like pop music!

i like the guitars a lot. maybe make them a tad lower in the mix. the vocals aren't really cutting through. drums are a bit weak.

nice song though.

Hey man...pretty nice work.

I think the whole mix would benefit from a low low cut. It'll make the vocals more present for mixmkr, it'll boost the mids in the guitars for Jake, and it'll generally make it more friendly on a bunch of different systems. Like, kinda' hack the living shit out of everything below 50Hz and see if it still sounds smooth.

I'm no pro, lol.
:D

Pretty good, branded! I would never dare to record something like this with a drum machine but hey, it almost works! :D

Got nothing to add that hasn't been said already... :)

The song is really alive and kicking. You did a great job there. The arrangement is top notch. I like the parts played and the vocals. They already told you how to bring the sizzle into everything. If you could do those drum parts without cymbals on your drum machine and come back and play the cymbals in by hand you maybe could get em on another track and eq em better. Really "UP tune" guy.

Branded,

Solid form compositionally. Good arrangement esp/ the vocals. Well excecuted and good feel.

In addition to the above post suggestions re: mix, I'd like to hear a little more separation between the guits and the bottom end.

The feel really smokes and comes together in the last minute minute of the song. Strong build & effective climax. Nice Job!

peace,
Ralph

Hey B,
...very cool song man, ...great songwriting. Very nice tight guits in this. Nice and dynamic too. I like the vocs alot but they sound to far in the back to me. They sound great man.... BRING EM UP:) . Very nice recording and composition. I know somebody here that will totally dig this 'cause its got a bit of a Jamalian feel to it. :)
Very cool man
