OK heres the deal i want to purchase a ROLAND VS-840 Digital multitrack but the problem with it is that it only has 6 mic inputs and i need to record live drums and bands so i want to hook a mixer up to it, the mixer is a tascam Tm-D1000 and i need to know how to hook them up together so if anyone knows how let me know and any other ideas would be aprecated.
thanks
You hook the outputs of the Tascam into the inputs of the Roland. Easy eh?
Since the TM-D1000 has four group outputs, and the Roland VS-840 has four inputs, it makes sense to use them. That way you can from the 8 inputs of the Tascam record to 4 different tracks on the Roland. Or you could mix the 8 inputs down to stereo, and then record two other inputs on the Roland.
