Greetings gents (and ladies).. I've gotten some great feedback from here in the past, and was hoping for some input on a new song I've just completed.

This song takes a look at seemingly small and insignificant things that we do
but that actually have a big impact on life. Whether it be leaving the house
five minutes too late, getting a surge of confidence, missing a phone call
or turning a car wheel, actions like these can cause more change than they
are given credit for.

Lyrics:
What if I never turned to the right?
I'd a missed you walk into my life
You can't regret who you never have met, or you might

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been

What if I never answered the phone?
Could you spill your heart after the tone?
Would you finally get brave, with the thoughts that you saved all alone?
When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been a different (life)

Life gives plenty of chances each day
To find your stars or just wish them away
It's the littlest things that we do, they can bring the most change

When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

When you're caught between yellow, green, and red
And hope turns to bittersweet instead

When the bottom is falling out
It's left to chance without a doubt
Did you know just what to do?
And was it really up to you?

Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been
Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been
Woulda been, shoulda been, coulda been a different life

Not really my cup of tea as far as the music goes, but it sounded nice, and well put together.

Honestly I think this has some Radio potential.
The current mix is not too shabby.

First impressions seemed a bit hotter then what I was listening to prior, needed a volume adjustment on this end.
I noticed a couple of vocal moments that could use some strength, not sure if it was a shake. I'll have to take another listen.

What do you think guys?
I like the song, it's catchy.
I wonder what a different set of ears (production and engineering) could do with this?

Thanks for sharing.

The mix is kinda bright. I think the whole mix could use more bottom say around 125Hz and a little less upper mids (8K). The song itslef is great and the balance is also. It reminds me of the British stuff from the late 70's (like Squeeze/Edmunds etc).

Thanks for the comments. I'm considering getting the track mastered again and making a few tweaks.

Nice radio friendly stuff.
Beautifully composed, arranged and executed. Great vocal harmonies, nice voice. Agree with Ido about the 70's feel. I detect a bit of Beatles there too. Mix sounds just right to me. Nice, well done!

Cheers
Joe :):)

Not my kind of thing necessarily, but very well done nonetheless. Still sounds a bit on the bright side, but I am on pc speakers and not to be trusted...

The vocals are really very nicely performed and captured on this. Nice job.
