Hi,

I have been recording and mixing this song down for a while now and I am really pleased with the results. This is really my first project that I have actually put effort into as I am fairly new to this.

I am using Cubase Sx3. I do not have crap for equipment.

I just was wondering if someone would listen to the song and help me out with a fresh set of ears. And offer some advise on anything you hear missing or any thing that I could improve on. Anything that sounds like a mixing problem.

Again, not the best sounding song ever but good enough for me......Any criticism would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like Starcastle recorded in midi to me. That's OK as I really like/d Starcastle.
The kick drum, when it gets going, is a little too death metal - too many kicks per phrase - & the ride (?) cymbal is too far up front.
The whole things sounds good but seems a little apologetic (like you don't want nanna to be offended by it) - needs some real aggression in the mix - pull the drums back & push the guitars (?) forward some more.
The musical ideas are strong but need you to commit to them.

hey thanks for the reply.....I'll ive it a try to push the guitar forward... as for the cymbols you think they are to loud???

do you think the whole drum set is a little too loud in the mix???

as for the bass drum....we are gonna change the beat....

thanks for the response!!!

as for the cymbols you think they are to loud??? Y EEEE S

do you think the whole drum set is a little too loud in the mix??? No.

as for the bass drum....we are gonna change the beat.... GOOD the D/Metal pulse doesn't suit the song.
Just DON'T push the guitars up via a cheap nasty digital distortion effect.
I look forward to your reposted track.
