The song is "We Love Chinese Ladies." Just finished it even though I started on it over a year ago.

The drums, which I no longer use, are electronic and sound like crap. They wre made using Fruity Loops. I now use samples which are recorded drums.

Anyway, I'm more interested in what you think of the actual song. I'm not sure why I wrote about Chinese ladies, but it's not a sarcastic song. If you find it humorous that's fine. I don't really mind. It's just a goofy song about Chinese ladies.

Thanks again for the listen:

It was ok. It's probably a little offensive, but I'm not even remotely Chinese, so I'm by no means an authority. :D

The chorus was catchy enough, but the verses kind of felt like they dragged on a bit.

Yeah, I wonder about the offensive part. It's not meant to be, but I can see how it would easily be seen as sarcastic. The truth is that it is more abstract than anything else. "We Love Chinese Ladies" is just kind of what came into my mind as I wrote the chorus and lyrics.

Maybe it is offensive. Since I'm not a big fan of China, (or a hater of it), I guess I can't honestly call it a tribute.

Although I do like Chinese ladies. :)

I'm never sure with things like that. Perhaps you could find some female friends of Chinese descent and ask them what they think? :D

I've written songs only to be told months later that if taken the wrong way, they could be really offensive. I hadn't even noticed until it was pointed out. Sometimes as a writer, you're too close to the subject to catch all the subtext.

It's a P.C. world; offense is easily taken and humour often forgotten.
The main issue would be the sexual political one of a WASP (now that's an assumption isn't it?) male craving a subservient woman (culturally defined).
It's a very 80's synth bass sound.
The faux spoken chinese passage misses the mark as it sounds male.
I quite like the arrangement and melody - the guitar chunks are a good contrast too.
