this is a song i posted before, but it's an updated version (the vocals are better than the last one, but that's not saying much). all i did was throw my SM58 in front of my amp, turn my amp up and record. this was recorded in cool edit pro 2.0 with a Yamaha MT400 as a mixer. the guitar was an Epiphone Les Paul. everything was one take, so vocal timing and pitch is off at points (pitch maybe constantly? i'm not a pro) also i don't have any drums. if anyone actually likes this song and wants to add drums i'd greatly appreciate it. anyway, the song is at www.nowhereradio.com/emopunker/singles and the song is called Where Has Everyone Gone? It's still uploading so give it a few minutes.
 
you got a pretty good sound recording your stuff. The sm58 aint no slouch for recording guitar either. You really really need to be working with some drums man. Software drum machines or get you some drum loops and import them into CEP.
 
is there anyone that could put drums to this? i tried a bunch of software and drum machines but to no avail, i can't do drums worth a shit. if anyone could help me out that would be cool.

Hey, nice tune.

The tempo seems to fluctuate. Is this designed or just a consequence of having no drums to follow?

I tried some air drums to it, would do some drums for it if i had my studio set up, still in progress of getting it built and stuff so maybe in a couple months.

vocals sound good as themselves but for some reason they don't sound great with everything. Maybe turn guitar level up?

Anywho,ignore anyone who says that you are tone deaf (what a dufus) and keep hacking.

If you still want a drum track (im not great ,havn't been playing long but learn quickly) in a few months, after i get my recording abbilities,look me up.

Hey kylosius, you're tone def. You sang off key so many times that I can't even pick out a real melody, thus making it hard to even imagine someone else singing it. You should brush up on your music 101 before you start learning how to track and mix.

He's not tone deaf. You can hardly hear the guitar to hear what key its at so how can you tell if he is tone deaf?

well here's a version with a different singer. the sound sounds really bad since it was taken off of a video tape the singer was sending to a friend. anyway, there's two guitarists, bass (i added that afterwards) and singing. me and the other guitarist are sharing back up duties (he fucks up pretty bad toward the end) and i'm doing the lead (and yes i fucked up at the very beginning with the lead) and palm muted guitar in the verses of the song. it's address is www.nowhereradio.com/emopunker/singles. its file name is where has everyone gone2
