you really need to be more specific, or all we can tell you is, do it until you have a ton of experience, get better mics, and compressors and preamps... like, im not sure what exactly your looking for?

i would sugest a better mic.a large condenser mic would work best. if your room is untreated and has poor acoustic maybe just an sm 57. as is, it sounds muddy. what mic are you using?

Drop the mod effect on your vox for starts.

Read some of the great threads that are in this forum, might answer a lot of your questions.

Its almost impossible to make out what you sing, and for rap thats kinda rare:)

I would suggest a better mic also (along with a better preamp). But I wouldn't suggest a large diaphragm condenser... I'd want something a little more flattering to the human voice (such as a large diaphragm dynamic). But (A) that's for another thread and (B) when it comes to HH/Rap, few listen to people with actual experience anyway.

But do take note that you never see anyone with a SM7b and a nice preamp asking "how do I make my vocals sound better?"

There's no "shortcut" or "on the cheap" when you're looking for "more professional." Solid gear, solid experience, few exceptions. You certainly don't need to spend a bundle, but if you want to fly, you need an airplane. A car won't do it (unless you just want to "fly" off a cliff).
