hi, i am looking for any advice on equipment to buy to set up my small home recording studio, was only thinkin of something simple, a pc with a alesis firewire desk? can anybody help? :confused: would really appreciate the help! thanks!! :D :D

i ahve upwards of 800 to spend and have some mics and a 4 track but since it seems to pain you guys so much to help me get into recording ill finds somebody who realy wants to help cheers.

I don't think that's what's going on here at all. Lighten up.
For example, have you said what you've looked at and/or know about? Is it a blank slate?

yeah ive mentioned that i was thinking of getting a pc and something like an alesis firewire desk , but just wanted to kno if there was a better way about it or something better to buy?

Alesis has very shitty preamps. I just bought a firepod and it works perfect and sounds amazing. As far as mics, start out with a dynamic mic such as the sm57 or the audix i5 or maybe even the senheizer e609. Learn to mic your cabinet and figure out how to get the tones you want. Then learn to mix on the software. Mixing is another topic. ;)
 
oh and ofcourse buy a computer.


Oh and a big black dildo. ;)
