I have been recording my guitar to my PC, using the line out into the mic jack on the soundcard. (doesn't sound very good, but at least it is redording something, I am using Acid Pro 4.0 for the program). Anyway I just bought a Casio CTK-671 keyboard (for the drums, bass and other sounds on it), my problem is I need a sound card or a way to get both of them recorded on my pc. I know the keyboard has a MIDI in and out, but my factory card doesnt have any MIDI connections. So my question is does anyone have any advice on cards or something to get this done? I would prefer not to spend over $150 if that is possible. Will a M-Audio Delta 410 PCI Recording get this done?

Thanks for all the help

That Casio should have a 1/4" output as well so you may not need to use the midi out.

The Delta 410 is a good card, but it doesn't do midi. The M Audio Audiophile is also good & it does midi. Check the prices at www.musiciansfriend.com

Thanks I appreciate the information. So I can use the phones/output instead of the MIDI connections and get the same results.

When ever I plug the keyboard in to the soundcard (using a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter), it is like the level on my Acid program is topping out before I even hit a chord. When I play a chord I can hear it but just barely. Any ideas on that? Thanks

Make sure you're using the line in on your sound card, not the mic in
