I'm in n-track, i select clicktrack in the n-track metranome thingy, and test it. It says error opening midi-out device. I have a delta 66 (omni studio package) soundcard, and I just can't get the click track to work, and I can't really do it in logic audio either.

I can do it in cubase, but it's an audio click. Is there a way to get an audio click in n-track.

Is there a way I can fix this problem? It's sorta pissin me off, I have the latest driver, and I tried reconfiguring the midi garbage in n-track's preferences, but I only have one choice.

If they only do a midi click, as is the case in Logic, and you don't have a midi device to play it then your screwed. You need a softsynth, soundcard with midi synth or a good old fashioned hardware synth.

A quick way around this is to import a single 'click' wav file. You can use any type of percussive sample. Then just repeat paste it for every 1/4 or 1/8 note. Whenever you change the the tempo in the song it will change the spacing of the clicks accordingly. I have an audible click saved in my Logic template so it is always there when I start.

I am having the same problem with mine. I run all audio using a Delta 1010, but for MIDI it's gotta be Sound Blaster(I don't wanna give up soundfonts). Anywho, I havn't gotten it to work quite right with Win 2k yet, so I just use the PC speaker option for the n-Track metronome.

. . . . . . . please don't double post. Thank you for your consideration.

is there a cheap program or soundcard or something I can get to help fix this problem?
