im using a studio and there is no preamps here the only preamps are the ones on this mixer called a yamaha 02r pretty nice mixer for its time but right now the only thing i need are the preamps..i need to plug in something into line one and take it out throught the aux 1 same with line two..goes to aux 2 ..and so on..i downloaded the user manual BUT I STILL CANT GET THIS THING TO DO SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS THIS..ITS DRIVING ME NUTS..thats why i just stick to analog..

I don't have one of these mixers but in reading the manual this procedure looks pretty straight foward.

1) Press the AUX 1 display button on the left side of the mixer.

This will show the current routing status for the AUX channel. The default is
all channels sending on all AUXs, but this has probably been changed if the mixer has been used very much in the past.

2) Select Channel 1 using the "Sel" button above Ch1 fader

3) Press the Aux 1 button from the "Selected Channel" buttons on the right side of the mixer

4) Press the "ON" button at the bottom of that group of buttons

5) Press "Enter" to toggle pre or post fader send

6) Press the Aux 1 button from the "Selected Channel" buttons on the right side of the mixer again and adjust the send level using the "Send Level" knob

You should now be sending Ch1 on Aux 1. Be aware that you are probably sending several other channels on Aux 1 also and may need to turn those sends off depending on what you are tying to acheive.

All the info you need for a given send is in Aux display so you may want take
some time to become very familiar with this.

The Aux display tells you the status of the send. To enable or disable other
channels sending on the Aux press the desired Aux button then the Ch button.

Press the "ON" botton to toggle the send on or off.

This is the version of the manual I'm referencing (starting on p42)

Good luck

this mixer has been used alot so i thought that the settings were all messed up..but on the manual it says to recall the "initial data" profile..which resets everything back to stock..

my problem comes in where ..if i plug a mic into line 1 and turn it up on the gain i can see that it is receiving signal on the little light that tells you so..but it is not sending it anywhere..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67yVwyUGFbM

this video is in spanish..i speak spanish so that is not the problem..the thing is that this video actually gives detailed instructions on how to set up the track..but if you see when he is testing out the phantom power you can see that the meter goes up..as in it is receiveng signal..when he talks you can see the meter move..i cant even get there in this mixer...

is there any way to just formatt the mixer back to its origianl state?

also..the mixer is not pluegged into somehting to control it..so there is a thing ont hte top that says
NO WORLD CLOCK...
could this be the problem..even thought the clock has nothing to do with the preamps..
