When I had "Pro Audio 7" I could easily record a CD to a two track file one track panned hard left ; one track panned hard right. I would then go to the tempo field and change it from 100 to 75 and it would slow down the track but keep everything in key that way I could learn fast guitar solos. Trust me this process was very simple and worked great for many songs. Now that I have Sonar I'm trying to do the same exact thing and the Tempo doesn't slow down at all. Does anyone know how to acomplish this simple "Pro Audio 7 task" in Sonar.

Thanks

I believe there's a switch to rescale the audio as well as the overall tempo... look in the tempo dialogue properties to enable it.

I think (havn't used this feature much in sonar) what you want is listed in grove clip properties..... Left click on the wav, select clip properties, select groove clip and then you see boxes for stretch audio, follow pitch etc. I am not sure if there is a "global" way to set this in Sonar for all of the audio files/loops being used.

FYI

Well I called cakewalk and after waiting on hold for 30 minutes some guy comes on to tell me that you can't slow down tracks in Sonar. I would have to spend 50 more dollars and purchase slowgold from www.slowgold.com. What a rip off !!!! So since I have removable hard drives I installed 98 on a small 2 gig HD and installed my Pro Audio 7 on it to do this task. I have Sonar on a nice 10 gig HD running Win2000 with a Delta 1010. Very Sweet.
