Hi all,

Please help me with setup I am having problems with my mic amp and mixer there's alot of feedback when I record my vocals, I turned down master volume on the computer to cut the feedback but my mic amp would still have feedback.

My setup is:

HP computer- input/output to Mackie DFX6 Mixer
Art MP Tube Mic amp- Mic output to mixer Mic input, Mic input to Mic amp

I use Cakewalk Studio 3
Sound Forge 7 (for editing)

I need some advice Thanks!!!

Simple solution, turn down the pre-amp.

You should be running your output from the preamp into a line-in on the mixer, not a mic-input. Some mic inputs add gain, even with the trim all the way to the left.

Also, I don't know what's feeding back, but you should mute/turn-off your speakers when tracking to avoid feedback. Wear headphones to monitor while tracking.
