Both would be equally bad. There's no reason to use dynamic mics for vocals of any kind when you can get mics like the Studio Projects B1 cardiod Large Diapraghm condensor for $80.

I already have condenser mics...I wanted dynamics...

If you don't have an SM57 in your collection, get one.

If ya gotta stay at $39.99.. I say just flip a coin...

The Behr LOOKS like a sm58 if I recall correctly, and there was an article in the Dec Sound On Sound Readerzone about a dude who used them to record an orchestra...

But I have 0 experience with either so... who knows??

again the question arrises, why?
Why do you want a dynamic microphone? Cause you already have Condensors and you just want them for the hell of it? Or is there a certain reason? If there is let us know and maybe we can help you find the right one, and if you don't know, maybe we can tell you why you don't need one/do need one.

The Shure 545 Unidyne III usually sells for $50 or less on e-bay used.
One of THE classic R&B mikes and should be excellent for some rap stuff too.
James Brown's all-time "Live At The Apollo" was recorded with a Shure
Unidyne-how much more do you need to know! :)

The B1 is an excellent condenser though.
