Alright. I've been around here for a good amount of time and I'm pretty sure many of the members have heard various songs that I've put out. Now I really would like to know what my fellow musicians is a better sounding and more promising band, Three After, Chaosphate, or Straight Jacket Sunday.

I've been on and off with Chaosphate for quite some time. I write all their music and was looking at going back out and playing with them but they have a look, stage show and there doesn't seem like there are many local bands to play with that we fit in with.

Three After was started after putting out Chaosphate's first album after realizing I couldn't play out with them because they live on the other side of the state and I wanted a band to play with. I sing for Three After and write with the other guitarist, I play guitar sometimes as well. We seem to have a decent amount of bands to play with locally too.

Straight Jacket Sunday is just me doing everything. It is pretty much metal music that is just fun to play. I have a couple of people interested in this too.

I've sort of done something stupid. I've backed myself into too many projects and now realize I only have so much time for this stuff. Please be honest as to which would seem to be the most promising musically and what not. Thanks.

Okay I'll take a shot at this.

My Main Points

Chaosphate - They live far from you and haven't been playing with them much.

Three After - You still play with them.

Straight Jacket Sunday - You'll have plenty of time to make music on your own and can always make music with yourself.

What I guess I'm trying to say is, Three After seems like the best reasoned choice to me. They are local and have a better chance at playing shows. You are still making music with people rather than just yourself. The only opposition I feel you might have is that Three After isn't exactly what you want to make. Seemed a little lighter than you might want, judging by Straight Jacket Sunday.

I wouldn't say stop Straight Jacket Sunday ... I mean it's you ... you can always rely on yourself. Plus you will still be there to make music with after you break up with three after and chaosphate. But I do think that if you're going to pursue any of these bands more seriously, Three After is your best choice. You're a talented musician. Good luck making a decision that you're happy with, I'm sure you will. Eric

Yea, I like the heavy stuff. That is why I always keep SJS going. It's like an outlet from Three After when I was actively singing for them.

Chaosphate is actually willing to drive out to me to practice. Also, they play whatever I write. But then that leaves all the writing up to me.

Also, Three After was started by me and what has become a pretty good friend now. We have been writing together for quite some time too.

It's a rough decision for me because it is more than just music. Thanks for the insight.
