Please help me select a keyboard controller.

Sorry If this Thread has been done before, I did search the forum several times, and did not find my answer.

I know very little about midi, and keyboard controllers - but after doing some research, it looks like it's something I would be interested in getting, so that I can use the SoftSynths available, and Programs like Reason.

What is a decent Keyboard controller to buy ?

I am thinking in the $100 to $300 price range.

Also, I would like to have key access to at least 3 octaves.

Anybody use the oxygen ?
 
I have a couple synths and electric pianos etc. But I just bought my first controller so I could work with software synths on the computer without having to run back and forth to my keyboards. It is a real time saver.

Anyway I bought an Edirol PCRM50 and it seems like a pretty nice unit. Very compact and easy to get out of way when your working on something else.

It does alot more than I'll ever need. I think it was around $150 at full compass.
It also has drivers for Vista which is a real plus.

I like the m-audio series of controllers... they intergrate 100% with reason.. if that's the route you are going. I currently have a oxygen 8, but am looking at selling it and getting a axiom.. i need to drum pads... it helps when programming beats.
