Please Help- Cubase LE crash w Guitar Rig 2

Im newbie and want to do simple stuff.
Have RME Fireface 400, and NI guitar rig 2. they both work no prob. its Cubase LE, when I try to add Effect directx - NI guitar rig I get
"ERROR-A serious problem has occurred. Please save song under another name & restart cubase.exe. If problem persists contact tech support w how U creat this problem, and created the file C:Program FilesSteinbergCubase LECubasele.LOG."
Can it be a bad copy of cubase LE or what?
Im already having enough trouble with the LE( also doesnt seem to work well, cant open up sample editor )
JUST WANT something that works!! IN CASE.. i have to look for another program-Heard that Traktion is good for beginners why are there so few people talking about it? Is it a good value? Any advice?

Which part of "If problem persists contact tech support w how U creat this problem, and created the file C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase LE\Cubasele.LOG." are you having trouble with?
 
yeah

I've been testing Reaper it seems pretty good with DXI and DX plug-ins it think it's like 4mb download and it's $40 or $199 if your going pro with it.

if you like it buy that, it's free download with no restrictions it's the honour system have honour if you like it

i'm considering a change over from CuBase 3.x to Reaper.
