Please help before I burn my 2496

I have a audiophile 2496 and i am trying to hook it up to my soft ware. what setting should i use my choices are Delta AP Multi, Delta AP 1/2, I have my cd drive with the 1/2 and that works fine. I just cant get my software to run through. Oh yeah, im running cakewalk music creator. I know.....yes, music creator. Thanks in advance

Delta AP 1/2 should work fine. If you are not getting a signal check your Delta control panel settings.

Im soooo retarted. I was trying to listen to a MIDI file with no MIDI hooked up. so why wont it play MIDI files throug my AP1/2 anyway

the AP does not contain an on board synth. you will need a virtual instrument for playback or an external midi device such as a keyboard.

So with my keyboard, it will just run in thru midi back out and through my Monitors??
