i rescently got a korg karma but im not a piano player. play beats off ear and shit like that. my question is because of that should i have went wit the yamaha rs 7000 or a mpc 2kxl.i already have a emu mp-7 so would trading in a keyboard 4 a nother beat machine make sense. or should i just add a sampler. any advice i could really use. question might sound crazy but i'm a rook in production. just a lyrical wizard. appreciated in advance

come on people i thought this room would def. know yall real opinionated any other time

It really depends on your preferences, when it comes to beat construction.

im new so not sure but leaning towards drum machines.
is havin 2 in place of 1 and a keyboard tho wise?
if u think it is since thats my pref. what do u think out of the rs7000 and the mpc2k?

Dog you really gotta research the equipment and decide what you want. It's on you. What do you want?

You say you can't play but you bought a Karma. Why? You wanna play on some keys? You wanna learn how to or don't care? Did you want it for the sounds?you aren't happy with the sounds? Did you even listen to em?

You wanna have a lot of drum pads?

You wanna sample?

You wanna just sample drums and phrases off vinyl, cd, tape..etc.?

You wanna playback sampled instruments like pianos and strings?

You wanna have lots of preset tweakabke sounds?

You wanna dope sequencer with shitloads of tricks?

You wanna simple powerful sequencer?

You wanna....................

Then buy it...

lazi i appreciate that but theres only so much research u can do. without askin 4 some opinions . 4 instance by research both the rs 7000 and mpc 2k look like they run equal.but yet every 1 and they momma got a 2k 4 what ?now i heard the sounds on the karma there straight shit there triton sounds. i do wanna learn to play but i could do that with sumthin cheaper . and have a drum machine. i got peoples whos hard on the beats that can do it big wit a karma. its time i put the panties on a track myself.so as far as what i want thats in the air . thats y i thought id ask people who been thru it out side my circle. i would like 2 sample u know so ive been thinkin bout the triton studio but might not need 2 if i get 1 of those machines that sample ready.the questions u told me 2 ask myself were helpful tho. i think ill prob shake the emu and swoop on a mpc2k. wit that said do u have a bias between that and the rs 7000.
