I think when you sing these type of songs, if you sing like you are actually saying it, the words tend to be more pronounced and comes out clearly. I felt like you could have sung it better with tad slower tempo. Felt like you were rushed a bit.
And not many people can tell how good someone is. I know a lot of amazing singers being told they were not good for singing in their early years.
