Hi!

I found a song that's very similar to my musical style - and even the voice fits mine ;)
So I'd like to figure out the effects on the vocals.
A decent, almost clean character.
They're barely audible - but you notice 'there is something'.

I think it's a very short reverb or something....?!?!?!?

Here is a clip of the song (MP3, 574 KB, 0:36 min):

I'd like to have such an 'effect-sound' to my vocals also.
And please not just the answer:
Try to make it sound the same
I gonna try that - but first I'd like to hear some suggestions where to start.

Thanks a lot for your time and help
Strom

seems lika a bit of compression, and a bit of verb.
not realy a short verb (1 sec with a pretty long predelay- 30ms) but softly mixed in.

Remco

It sounds like it was either double tracked or ran through a vocal processor, then compressed and eq'd.....

It's definitely got a reverb on it. I'd expect that it's something similar to what remco suggested. It's compressed, too.

Is that Billy Idol?

Yes, it's the 'B-Side' of the new single 'SCREAM' - waited over 10 years for that... and finally - he sounds better than ever, doesn't he? ;)

...and thanks for all your comments so far...
