Hey! I am a total beginner when it comes to singing and I haven't taken vocal lessons. I chose a pretty safe song for my first recording.

I've tried singing Rolling In The Deep by Adele but I'm not really sure if I had correctly delivered the high notes. It seemed way too easy and effortless for a beginner like me so probably not. Haha.

What do songs do you think I should try out? Any advice and feedback welcome! Feel free to be as harsh as you want because I really want to improve. Thank you! <3

It's hard for me to judge pitch without hearing any instruments along with you. From what I heard, the pitch was OK, though not spot on.

In terms of power, your voice sounds weak. It sounds like you're not giving it your all. It sounds as though you recorded this in one room and were afraid you'd wake someone up if you sung with a bit more power.

In terms of tone, it sounds alright. You sound like a teenager and have this indie voice going on. The tone could change, though, if you changed your projection.

Overall: not too bad.

Voice is pleasant. I wouldn't call it "weak" as CoF above has - not everything has to be a torch song. Pitch is a bit wild here and there when you go down. You're taking breaths in the wrong places. You have sibilance issues.

This is a recording site. People come here primarily to learn how to record, not to learn how to sing.

If you're in the "I really love to sing / Please tell me whether I'm good enough / Do I need lessons / Can I have a hug?" basket like so many people who first post here, then you'll getter better info re. singing from a dedicated singing forum. I'm sure they exist.

So yeah. You can probably sing if you learn a bit. But no hug, OK.:thumbs up:

Thank you guys for your feedback! It helps a lot and I appreciate it. I'm sorry if these kind of threads are annoying, I won't do it again! I promise, haha.

This is true, and this particular song doesn't really demand that much power. I only said it because of bits like around 0:52, where she hits that string of high notes. She backs off a bit more in her strength, and that might be because she was hitting her limit in her range. Maybe it's just her range that she needs to improve on and not her overall projection.
