My best mix of 2012...so far. :)

Acoustic recorded with a Rode NT-5.
Vocals on a M-Audio Nova.
Drums using Oktava Mk 219s as overheads, e-602 on kick, and a sm57 under the snare.
Electric used a 57 in front of a Fender Blues Deville amp through a cool pedal my friend made (has components of a Tube Screamer among other things).

I think that's it. I played to click. I did some cut and pasting.
Very happy with how it turned out when listening in my car.
As always, open to ideas (and arrangements as well)

Cool voice, and nice song writing. It's a little short, but that may not be the whole song.

Bass is kinda indistinct, I like it that way, but this one is hard to pick out for me.

The acoustics are laking some shine, which is unusual for acoustics recorded with NT5's. I've used them for years and have trouble mellowing them out, usually they have the highs. Add something around 3.5khz and maybe a little around 8khz? That usually works for me with the NT5s. Helps them cut through the mix, and sound like a real acoustic.

The drums, are not my expertise, but they sound natural and nice to me.

Sounds really good. I'm not a drummer so I don't know much about this but I think it could use a good drum intro hitting some 8th beats. Possibly just banging the snare on a couple of 8ths in the beginning, may need to fill in a bit if it feels too thin that way though.

Nice song. I like your singing voice. A few words get lost behind the rest of the mix. You might want to compress the vocal a little harder.

The mix is kind of narrow. I think it would sound cool if you double tracked the guitar or have a second guitar part. You need something else you can pan to each side.

Drums are narrow too.

I like this, you remind me of some artist, can't put my finger on it. The woo's sound a little distorted to me, might just be my speakers. Great song though, love the vibe!

Really cool song! has a good feel to it...for the vocals they sound good but you should try experimenting with adding more vocal parts and turning up the harmony in the second half, it could create a more powerful vocal part somewhat like Bon Iver
