That backbeat distorted sound is huge, and the noise on it is very attention grabbing, but it doesn't change, it's so big that it makes it hard to listen to the other stuff going on since it stays up there in the spotlight. I had a synth sound like that once and I had to use it sparingly.
 
I agree with junplugged, I really dig the track, I was actually bouncing to the groove, but the snare-ish distorted sound is waaay up in the mix. also, when the strings dropped out the first time, I wanted them to come back a little changed up, but they were the same, just a personal expectation. But over all, I like it. Just a little work and it'd be awesome.
