Please critique the tracking and mixing work, not the playing and singing.

This is 6 string panned left and 12 string panned right. I do know the vocals are a little reverb heavy. That's the way the artist wanted it to be, so I did what he asked.

Reverb sounds fine to me but I like verb. I think the guitar sounds like the mic might have been too close to the sound hole. It gets a little woofy in spots.

Yeah,

I think I hear alot of low mid on the guitars and vocal. Have you checked the mix on a spectrum analyzer? Look for a bump around 300hz

Yes, I thought the 12 string sounded rather boxie. It had that dreaded resonant one-note-base sound each time he hit a certain chord. Early on, I did find that notching it sharply around 120Hz got a great deal of it under control, but I didn't want to carve it up too much. I guess it still propagated through somewhat to the 2 mix. I only hear it on certain playback systems.

Thanks, guys, for the advice.

I was hopeing you'd catch that. AAAHHHOOOOWWWW!!
