Howdy,

I use a custom built rack-mount computer for live applications. For years I've used CW Virtual Jukebox to trigger my midi backings (CW9 workfiles) without a problem.. I've now started incorporating samples with midi into my backings (drum loops, recorded bass lines etc) .. these work projects work fine in Cakewalk 9 (no drop outs etc) but when I play the project through Virtual Jukebox while at the same time triggering midi with my keyboard it loses the plot (slows down, plays out of time or distorts!)...

A typical project contains 4 tracks of audio and a midi track setup for the keyboard... Has anyone attempted this scenario and been successful? Should I be saving the projects differently? or is there a work-around (or another program/player) that will allow me to incorporate audio and midi for my backings.. Am I missing something obvious?

any suggestions appreciated.
Rgds, TOWA.

Well, it looks like no one was able to offer any suggestions.. that's OK because I was able to figure out the issue.. it was related to the HDD and the DMA setting, once corrected everything was working perfectly! CPU and HDD usage went down almost 40% after fixing.

Just because I'm curious: ;)

Which values did you change?
What did you change them from and to?
