I'm thinking you want your cd to play on all cd players. I'm also thinking maybe you misunderstood when someone said it has to be a .wav file. It's the source that needs to be a .wav, not the burned file. The burned file you want to be a .cda file which stands for cd audio track. Your burning software should change the format from wav to cda for you. After you burn it make sure you close the cd and it should work on most any cd player.

Originally I saved my audio recording in the Sound Forge Project File. Then I rendered it to Scott Studios Wave and I had it burned with Nero Express. And I also had it burned using Sound Forge's Burn Track-at-Once Audio CD.
Is it true that some CD players can't read from CD-RW?

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone mentioned this earlier. I guess you missed it

Use CD-Rs and you'll be fine. Little unsolicited advice - If you need help and ask a question, please read the answers, so you don't keep asking the same ?s again ;)
