playback slow

I just encountered a strange problem with my vf160 ex. i recorded a session last night and today when i went to play it back it was a tad slow, and the pitch of the song dropped 1/2 step. I am very familar with the vf recorders. i have owned a vf 16 , vf 160 and now a vf160ex.
i burned a wave cd of the songs and transferred it to computer and it is slow and low there also.
any ideas?

Problem solved

I just solved my own problem.. I was using a behringer adat converter for the mic pre amps and just discovered that it was set at 48khz. The vf160ex is at 44.1. when used together it records and plays back fine. But when you remove the adat unit the vf160ex is now trying to play back a piece recorded at 48 khz at 44.1.. low and slow...
