Hello.
I have recently set my soundcard (delta 1010) to record at 96k/24bit, and set Cooledit pro2 to record at the same specs. There are no problems with the recording at all, even when doing simultaneous recordings on different channels. However, when I go to make additional recordings on top, the playback from CEP2 goes crazy: the metronome plays at double the speed and the previous recordings that are playing glitch out beyond comprehension.
I suspected that my computers specs (Pentium4 1.3ghz, about 320mb RamBuss) were to blame, although Ive been told that they should be fine.
Is there anything that I need to do one either CEP or the soundcard settings that will sort this irritating problem out? any info will be greatly welcome.

cheers
chris

your computer should be very capable of recording at these settings with no problems. Do you have any problems at all when you record at 44.1 and 16 bit?

fortE. search under my name for lots of configuring tips ive posted over the past year eg: check hard drive dma is enabled. your memory is low for starters. also post your full configuration including what you have in your pci slots. NOTE; if you have fancy gaming cards or tv tuner cards then these can impact the performance of the 1010 and lock it out from performing.
try and have the 1010 as the only card occupying a pci slot.
