Playback problems with new CD-R's

I ran out of gold Memorex CDRs and bought new ones but they have trouble playing back on certain CD players. I tried new Memorex white CDRs because I couldn't find the gold ones anywhere. I tried burning at different speeds and using different burners but still have the same problem. I am using the latest version of Nero. I even bought some Maxells that are suppose to be designed for music playback but they aren't much better. Anyone else having any problems?

They playback fine on the computer, in the car, and in my Sony portable but not on my JVC boombox and not on the customer's CD player (which really sucks). I never had any problems with the GOLD Memorex CDRs. WTF.
