Plastic Bongos??

Shells made out of ABS plastic?

Anybody heard these? They sound much different than wood shell bongos?
Maybe worth getting for a different flavor?

I have played fibreglass types before, they are a little dryer sounding with more of a bright sound.More of a bark!

the hardware looks nice and its only 50 bucks you cant go wrong with that.
as for the plastic I would not worry about that . alot of cars nowadays have
plastic intake manifolds on them. it comes down to the heads . and they dont look bad.

Don't buy these. They are junk. A decent set of bongos will more likely cost $150 or more.

It is not an issue of fiberglass vs. wood: you can get great bongos with either kind of shell. And they don't sound that much different (unlike congas).

These are just poorly made.
