Planning to Purchase Wave424/studio12

Im planning to purchase a wave424 and a Alesis studio 12 in the next month or so. My question is weather anyone else is using the same setup and what extra goodies am I gonna need to hook the mixer to the card? Also what software do you prefer for this setup?

My PC is a AMD K? 480mhz. Got a Plex 8/4/32 and a 32xCDrom. 8Gig HD and 56 Megs of Ram. I plan on upgrding ram soon.

I had originally planned on purchasing the same card but after a bit more research, I found the Delta44 to be a better bargain than the Wave424 because it's GigaSampler compatible, EASI drivers, breakout box, and Win2k compatible. $270 at www.midi-classics.com

Im probably gonna go with the delta after I contact them and find out If my AMD will work with their stuff. I was gonna originally go with a Gina but theyve been having problems getting them to work with a K6. I Emailed the wave people and they said theirs would work. Hopefully the Delta will work cause I really want a breakout box but Im on a tight budget.
