I'm sure the guys from Europe know who she is, though she hasn't quite broken out here in the USA...but if you don't know her, you should check her out.

If you get BBC on cable, she's on tonight on the Graham Norton Show that starts at 10:10 EST.

Anyway...I'm in love with her voice and singing...and she's a real looker to boot!
For being only 18, she really seems very together in her performances and singing style.
She sings in that 60s Pop/Motown style...and is the third female singer out of the UK in recent years that has that sound.
There was Amy Winehouse, then Duffy and now Pixie Lott...

Pipty they used so much sex in the 3rd video to sell her.
The 1st pair certainly rely more on the voice - though they linger a fair bit too.

Her "official" video for "Cry Me Out" is also very sexy...you can find it on YouTube, but if you check out some of her others...I don't think it's so much of "them" using it to sell her...I think it's just her doing it!

She does the sexy thing, then in others she's in a formal gown all very proper, then if you watch her interviews, she also does some of the teen Pop star look.
I think she just likes what she's doing, and it's not so much a forced image by "them"...if you know what I mean.

If she didn't have a voice and solid performance style...then yeah, the sex image would be passé...

I've had a couple brief conversations with her regarding music... Where she records... who her engineer is etc. Shes a very nice person, great looking, and great voice. I haven't really heard anything about her over here in the North American market... Matter of time... or one hit wonder?:confused:

Where/how did you have the privilage of speaking with her?

I would LOVE to pitch some songs her way...as that Pop style is right up my alley. :cool:

Her voice is super AFIC...it has all the right qualities that I like in a female voice - good range, full body, a touch of growl and full of emotion...AND...she doesn't need Autotune when she sings live!!! :D
Not sure if she will show up on the charts here in the USA...but I don't think she's going to be a "one hit wonder", and in Europe, she's already had more than one "hit".
I don't think she's even attempted to play the USA in any big way yet...and she's young, so time will tell.
 
I thought Duffy sounded like Dusty Springfield but this girl could be her daughter (grand) - great sound. Easy on the eye as well - not that that is important!
