When I put down some tracks adn try to play them back it the pich keeps shifting...as if it was on some bad tape...I'm not sure why it is doing this, not enough memory???

Btw, what do you mean by laying tracks ? record, import, or copy paste ? Did your track inserted by any plugins ? check in Console View. What's your soundcard. Some sound card's (like SB Live!) has special firmware (like AutoEAX) running in backround to add special effect to your audio output. DSPFX can do this also. Make sure your audio card tweaked properly without these...

A conflict in sample rate might cause this.
Check to make sure that your sound card and Sonar are both set up to use the sampling rate.
