If I had my recording setup finished I would.:(

Money is actually on my to do list. Im gonna use a synth sax or replace the sax solo with a guitar. Not sure. Sounds pretty cool.

I'd be into laying some guitar tracks for it. Depending on if you were going to do them EXACT or your own versions, Money would be a great one to do. You could split the solo up into three sections with a different guitarist doing each section. Us And Them is a beautiful song and it would be interesting if you could get contributions for vocals to fill up the backups. Time is just a great song, period. And Breathe is kinda short but is also covered at the end of Time. So any way you go, I'd contribute vox and guitar.

I'll agree with above--depends how you want to do 'em.

Breathe (reprise) is the end of Time... :P

I'd definitely be interested in doing this guys........I've already done a cover of Wish You Were Here.......see the thread here:https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=259864

I can do acoustic guitars, bass and vocals.

Oh yeah, I think Breathe or Time would be cool..........don't rule out songs from other albums though, Comfortably Numb could be great but I think something with an acoustic is what I'd prefer

My first post on this site which I came across looking for collaboration. I'd love to do something Floydy, it's where my heart lies.

I'd be all over this like hair on soap :D

Any of the above would be fine, but as a drumber, Money's 7/8 time sig puts it at the top of my list...

:)

It seems time is ahead. If there is no objections (though I was hoping us and them) Then time it is.

Awesome! Dibs on the first part of the solo! ;)

Now, how are we going to put this together? Will you have somebody do basic rhythm tracks to a click? Then fill in around it?

Why don't we do them all!
I'd love to contribute with drums for any of the 4.
"Money" would have been the choice, and I've played it before with a cover band, but BentRabbit beat me to it, so I'd pick "Time", if you decide to do more than one.

Cheers!

Why not the whole album?

Now THAT sounds challenging... that album sounds kinda decent. ;)

Actually, any of those songs individually sound like an insane challenge if you're going for a cover that sounds like the original. :)

I just tracked some drums for Time.
It's a rough draft, played on a vintage 70's kit. I did't manage to get the same pich on the toms in the intro.
I followed a click, so maybe it can be used as a reference for future tracks. Metronome= 121 bpm, until bar 162, and then lowers to 117 bpm for the last part. I hope you enjoy the tracks.:D

They are in mp3 format at this address:

OK great. Is there somewhere to upload a higher bitrate version?

I guess megaupload.com or something like that. mediafire, whatever. Just not rapid share. I don't like them. Did you play, or are they elecronic some how?

I'd be willing to host it from my website. I'd also be willing to host all contributions to it from my site.
