Pickup Wiring

I want to swap a pickup in a cheapy Junior copy, but I'd like some guidance before I dig in. Here's a pic of the two pickups-

The new pickup has an outside braided shield. Will the outside braid of the new pickup be soldered to where the existing shield(green) is now? And will the new hot wire be soldered to the same ear that the existing one(red) is now?

Yeah, it should just be a simple substitution.

assuming they're both 2 wire pickups it should be a simple swap.
