dementedchord: thanks for the honest repsonse! Early on, I was in bands and backed lots of the blues guys. Those days were about doing songs certain ways. Kind of like each song had to be done this way or that way. I loved that time, but the spontaneous thing never would leave me alone. IMO, my songs are just snapshots of the moment in the time they are done. I no longer concern myself with making it all sound "proper". I just go for the feel of the story. I am not sure if I am making sense, but basically it now is about the high I get off the feel of going into the story. It is almost like the music and singing is second fiddle to the fantasy trip I go on. It is the springboard for me to take off into these other dimensions. I often forget I am playing when I am playing. I travel through time and space. It is kind of like being in a time machine of emotions and places. I do the same thing live I do with the songs I post.
