Piano Measurements: I need to know how far a real piano's keys are from the floor.
I am building a desk myself to hold my midi keyboard controller, computer monitor, rack gear, and near field monitors. Now I want to build the desk so that they keys of the keyboard will be exactly the same distance from the floor as a real piano would be. Don't ask me why I want this because the explaination is a long one.
I can adjust the measurement heights of the monitor stands to get them "head-level" after I get my base measurement for the keyboard.
So anyone out there with a real piano... please go measure how far it is from the top (flat part) of the keys to the floor.
