Ok so no one wants to talk about Goldwave.

So how about the Phillips 2 in 1 player/recorder? Where can I look it over online/offline.

It looks alright, but it is still going to be more expensive than buying a computer based CDR and software (most CDR burners come with software anyway - usually The Adaptec Easy CD creator package)

I have a Phillips CDR 880.
It's a great machine, and the price has dropped significantly in the past several months.
No regrets here!

Are you saying that with this CD recorder you don't have to turn your file into a wave file before burning? If this is true, than it is exactly what I've been looking for. Can you tell me more about it? Really would appreciate it! Thanks .

Is this a new model? When I last looked at Phillips CD recorders, they only used CDR for Consumer Media (which is expensive as hell) -
I'd consider getting one for the sole reason that I don't have to convert the file to .wav before burning, which is what I do now when I burn
