How can you tell if there's some phasing going on in a song? Are some frequencies cancelled out? I had posted a song a while ago and was told there was some phasing and I don't really know how to detect it.

Flip it in mono. It should be obvious at that point. If something seems to be missing, eliminate parts of your mix until you narrow down what's conflicting with what.
