Reluctant Commander
My preamp is going out. I occasionally use two mics and need to phase reverse one.

My software mixer inputs have no phase reverse button.

If I run one mic thru a transformer coupled DI box (which I also use to isolate it from phantom power) doesn't the transformer reverse the phase of the signal?

No, not unless it's wired reverse polarity. But you don't need a transformer to wire a cable reverse polarity, just swap pins 2 and 3.

You also don't need to use a transformer to isolate a dynamic mic from phantom power, that is if the mic already has a transformer, which most dynamics do. If you are trying to protect a ribbon from phantom power, a transformer won't give you 100% protection--if it did, the transformer in the ribbon mic would do the same job.

Take the wave file into a wave editor like Goldwave select left or right channel and select to invert the wave. Save the new wave and import it into your project.
