This is Perdicaments band, with a friend of mine playing drums.



It still needs a bit of work, but looking for any critiques, and or comments.

Good guitar sound.. can i ask the signal chain?
The snare is a bit loud and the splash? (cymbal on the right) seems to decay quite odd.
This is really good work, very close just needs some minor tweaks

Perdicament would have to comment on the recording chain for the guitars - if your interested in what I did to them mix-wise, just let me know.

As far as the cymbal, it's a K fast crash, and it has a really quick decay. I believe it is meant for "riding the crash", but I could be wrong.

The snare is loud, by design, as I wanted the drums to really drive the song. If more people say it's too loud, I will adjust it. I've only heard it on a couple systems, so I may not be hearing it as loud on my end.

I like it, I e-q'd the mids a little to give it less pronunciation around 500hz and it sounds much better. I also like the snare tone for that particular song and the weird cymbal gives it some originality. Is the over all mix compressed? If so, maybe just a little too much? Basicly, its pretty cool. Thanks for sharing...

Ahh cool, ya posted it up.... We were talking about possibly opening this up for a mix contest....????

Any interest in that?

I also gotta add a lead and some more guit work thru the end to complete the tune...

If there is an interest I'll get on the solo beginning of next (this) week....and we can get the tracks up. :)

two weeks to a month and it's over. Judges cast votes within a week and

I wouldn't mind seeing how well I can do with Reaper on a laptop....
 
I like it...nice and heavy. Great guitar tone. Overall, song is cool. Nice....

Sounds great. Nice guitar tone, and I like the volume on the snare.

Both sound and performance are very good.
Do you mind if I borrow the singer for another collab project I am working on these days?
 
I like it. Nice job on the drumset. Gtrs sound just a touch too 4 kHz-ish to me but I'm finding myself saying that a lot on everything so it's probably just me.
